Building an Application that reads Secure Information Stored on the Chip of the Citizen Identity Card in Vietnam

Reading the information on CIC/passport is very meaningful in serving life activities of citizens Vietnam and foreign visiting Vietnam. This research based operating modes, such as BAC, FACE, EAC to read data contained chip put Citizen Identity Card (CIC) out securely. Specifically, authors used BAC mode perform safe reading from CIC’s chip. uses 3DES SHA1 algorithms encrypt ensure security, so when are transmitted they encrypted decryption performed by application. In this paper, a complete application has been built for personal stored securely CIC. corresponding CIC meets requirements ICAO 9303 standard, it able passports or CICs other countries that use standard. The performance fields DG1, DG2, DG13 improved with speed about 1.2s - 1.3s all 3 fields.
